Blown-in insulation refers to blowing or spraying insulation product into wall cavities, attics and floors. 
Blown in is much more airtight than standard insulation, also it can fill in around beams, pipes, outlets that will be hard to reach with a batt insulation. 

Batt Insulation

"“Batt and Roll” or “Blanket” insulation. It is typically stored in rolls, is generally made of fiberglass and is the least expensive way to insulate a home.
